Used without a keeper, these window sash locks mount atop the innermost sash and engage into the checkrail of the top sash. Replacing loose-fitting, worn or missing sash locks can help restore and increase the safety and security of the home or office. These cam-action sash locks feature a 1/2 inch deep offset latch with a 9/32 inch latch projection that engages into the checkrail of the upper sash. The lock body has mounting holes that are spaced apart at 2-1/4 inch, on center. Each lock is constructed of durable diecast zinc and come in a black-painted finish. Includes one lock body, installation fasteners and simple instructions. These sash locks can be installed with a simple handheld Phillips screwdriver.
